About SLS

SLS, a key shipping sector player since 1936, represents 14 domestic ship owners and operators involved in cargo and passenger transport in St. Lawrence waters, the Great Lakes, the Arctic and the Maritime provinces. Our association’s mission is to support our members’ growth and the development of shipping on the St. Lawrence by representing and promoting Canadian ship owners’ and operators’ activities.

SLS works actively to move forward issues affecting our members, closely monitoring changes in transport-related regulations and policies. We are especially active in areas related to maritime operations, environmental protection, short sea shipping, safety and human resources. NOMINATION OF A NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT St. LAWRENCE SHIPOPERATORS

Quebec, November 22, 2019 – St. Lawrence Shipoperators (SLS) is pleased to announce the nomination of Louise Bédard as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Mrs. Bédard is succeeding Martin Fournier who has recently left his position after eight years at the helm of the organization.
